Wednesday, June 5, 2019 - 2008 Champagne horizontal (Medlar (London)): For most/all at the table this was the wine of the flight. Dry, nutty, mineral, some faint sherry tones, very long. When revealed we agreed that this is terrific value and it truly performed at prestige cuvee level. I was a bit anxious to see how this would show as I bought a few cases and I was very pleased to see this champagne drank blind to be Grande Annee. I look forward to my bottles in the future. Will only get better with age surely but already today a fantastic experience. If you don't already own this go and grab a case.

6/6/2019 7:28:00 AM - I have been waiting for my 1 bottle to arrive and I think its here, I just gotta find it. I don't really care for this producer as much as the standards such as Comtes or Dom, but, 2008 was worth a new shot, so I picked one up as a test. Thanks for the great description as usual BB. Now that I know you like it, I'm psyched to try it. I will share my experience soon. Cheers BB

6/6/2019 7:31:00 AM - Please do try and it and let me/us know how it was. I have read in forums about some variability with the Grande Annees, so I hope the bottle shows as well as the one we had. Cheers!
