Community Tasting Note

89 Points

Thursday, February 9, 2023 - Double decanted, followed over 3 nights.
This was not as impressive as the 2018 vintage to my palate.
Still, a lot of (very modern!) Bordeaux for the money. Just a bit overblown on the oak and alcohol dept for me, not enough so it is as unbalanced as the '19 Capbern tasted recently, but missing depth and complexity for sure. Hopefully with 5-10 years it can become more integrated. If you like big, hearty CA wines, add several points ..

But this wine has a lot of hedonistic pleasure to give. I preferred the 18 vintage by a good bit. Cheers!
