Fantastic when decanted and allowed to sit for 3-4 hours or more. I can see where some people would be less impressed if they didn't allow ir a long time to open. It needs a really long time.
There's a lot of oak in this, which I like. Very balanced. I would rate it higher except that I've noticed the flavor is not as consistent from bottle to bottle as it could be. I've had a couple bottles of this I would give a solid 96 to, and a couple I'd probably top at 92. All good, but only some great. All better than the 2016 amd 2018 though. On par with the 2020. I bought an extra case to age. I think it will improve for 15 to 20 years.

Double decanted, followed over 3 nights. This was not as impressive as the 2018 vintage to my palate. Still, a lot of (very modern!) Bordeaux for the money. Just a bit overblown on the oak and alcohol dept for me, not enough so it is as unbalanced as the '19 Capbern tasted recently, but missing depth and complexity for sure. Hopefully with 5-10 years it can become more integrated. If you like big, hearty CA wines, add several points ..
Opens up a bit at 3h decant but still have a bit of closed off character. Rather clean and playful I think it will improve with 4+ years looking forward to try it out later.

Dark ruby color, black cherry fruit, medium bodied, Acidity is bright and juicy with rounded tannins. Showed best on the second day.
