Sunday, July 30, 2023 - Medium bright red garnet in color. Forward, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of violets & roses & earthy/dusty, minerals, spices, some tar notes, mint, anise & dried herbs. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, strawberries & tart cranberries with dried herbs, mint, anise, minerals & spices. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. A classic old school Barolo.
