Sunday, April 21, 2024 - At the top level, the 2014s are not ready to drink and this Chevy from Leflaive was another reminder of that. At first closed, it only slightly opened up with time, showing promising complexity and precision, but it yet has to fill out and gain that oomph factor.

TN: At first muted nose, with time a subtle bouquet full of citrus and sea shell minerality. On the palate more concentration, full of fine citrus, some floral notes, minerality and a beauitful salinity. Got better and better and the last sips were quite good to but likely displaying only a fraction of what it has in store in the future.

Decanting: This needed a good hour in the decanter to open up.
