Tuesday, April 30, 2024 - Appearance: Clear, Pale-Medium Lemon. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of oak influenced nutmeg, fennel and vanilla with apricot, pear, and acacia notes. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium+ intensity, medium+ body with creamy mouth-feel, 13.0% abv with developing flavors of nutmeg, apricot, and fennel with a medium+ finish. This is all about the oak usage and I think they did a pretty good job. At this moment the oak dominates but surprisingly doesn't over-power. I suspect within 2-3 years there will be a narrow window, 1 year or so, after the oak integrates completely where this provides an exceptional drinking experience. After that? Time will tell...
