Appearance: Clear, Pale-Medium Lemon. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of oak influenced nutmeg, fennel and vanilla with apricot, pear, and acacia notes. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium+ intensity, medium+ body with creamy mouth-feel, 13.0% abv with developing flavors of nutmeg, apricot, and fennel with a medium+ finish. This is all about the oak usage and I think they did a pretty good job. At this moment the oak dominates but surprisingly doesn't over-power. I suspect within 2-3 years there will be a narrow window, 1 year or so, after the oak integrates completely where this provides an exceptional drinking experience. After that? Time will tell...

Autolytic yeast, buttered popcorn, lemon peel, passion fruit, guava and brine/oyster shells on the nose. Medium + intensity of aromas. The palate is quite different, showing ripe apricot, ripe yellow apple, ripe pear and lime zest in addition to bitterness a good amount of butter and cream from malo. No evidence of oak - guessing neutral barrels here. Medium + intensity of flavors.
Medium body with medium + acid. Drinking great right now. Clearly from a cool climate. It reminds me of Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay in a good way. Great pairing with raw oysters.

From a 375ml. Quite some development on the nose. Ditto palate. Some biscuit/butterscotch characters, though not dominating. Overall quite elegant and good weight. Confirms my earlier impression that my earlier impression that this will drink well young.

Australia Trade Tasting (Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls): Flinty, concentrated, tight palate, citrus, oak dominated, balanced, long finish. Give it time

Ripe white fruits and flowers, beautiful acidity and a pleasant, slight touch of sweetness. Beautiful wine.
