Sunday, February 7, 2010 - Popped and poured with no decant. Drank over the course of about 2 hours. Color is an opaque red. The nose shows lots of blackberries and creme-de-cassis notes. On the palate the wine is well balanced with very nice, ripe blackberry and dark fruit flavors. Finish is medium length but the alcohol does show through just a touch. Tannins are fine grained but a little edgy. However, they give the wine good structure. I believe that it should do well with short term aging. 88-89 points
