In a really great spot right now, sorry to say that this was my last bottle. Nicely balanced wine and if I could pry some out of Mike's cellar, I would take them.

CT Texas IV - A Hill Country Treat; 5/18/2012-5/19/2012 (Austin, Texas): Nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, mocha, spice, hint of cedar and bell pepper. On the palate, rich sweet black fruit, currants, cedar, mint, licorice. Finishes with great balance. Drink with a short decant or continue to hold.

Popped and poured. Far different than the last tasting. Notes are from the last glass. Nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, mocha, spice, hint of cedar and bell pepper. On the palate, rich sweet black fruit, currants, cedar, mint, licorice. Finishes with great balance. Drink with a short decant or continue to hold. This has enough stuffing to go long. Great first effort Mike, congrats.

CT Offline IV--Hill Country Edition; 5/18/2012-5/19/2012 (Austin / Texas Hill Country / Castleman Ranch): Some great to kalon fruit. Smooth, yet a bit spicy. Somewhat sweet and full of blueberry and blackberry. Very integrated tannins and nice and refined. Still power, but with dignity and finesse. Great wine for sure. Worth much more than they charge for this.
