Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 3 Decades of Chateau Beaucastel with Tomas Perrin. (Ambrosia Event Center. Victoria, BC.): Bright nose of black tea, sage, bay leaf and a touch of menthol. This smells fantastic.
The palate shows tonnes of new leather with hints of black tea, orange rind and black pepper. A good dose of acidity keeps this fresh. The long finish is all leather. A very elegant wine.
Drinking well now but I would hold another 5-10 years.
