It is quite similar to it's bigger brother, the Tenuta Nuova of the same vintage. Licorice notes abound, with deep, penetrating flavors. It's surprisingly accessible now too. Just a little less refined and more easy going than the big brother, but frankly this is a more interesting, exciting and memorable wine than just about evey heavy hitter Brunello I've had from the '04 vintage, and I've had my fair share.
