In the mouth, medium to full bodied, substantial, and with unobtrusive tannins. Sweet vanilla, cedar - then a rush of red and black fruit. A neat dry finish. Really nice, if a touch lacking acidity. All in all very "claretty". It wouldn't be out of place on the Left Bank - maybe even in St Julien! Decanted for 3 to 4 hours but ready for business from the moment the bottle was opened.
