Friday, May 10, 2013 - Olivier Leflaive Dinner with Jean Soubeyrand (Chez Patrick Restaurant, 2/F, Garden East, 222 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong): Still a silvery-gold colour but less so than the preceding Montagny 1er Cru. Nose is...gosh...a big jump up from the Montagny......high piano notes. Palate of lemony sharpness and very refined. Medium weight. Very drinkable indeed. Very little evidence of the normal oak you would expect....it's just 15% new oak and the rest is 3 years' old. It just lacks length....but great QPR.
