Friday, December 13, 2013 - I disagree that this wine is dead or fading. If you like young and boisterous CdP, or "tour de force" CdP with "gobs", then perhaps this is not a wine for you, but if you prefer elegance and balance, then this wine should be ideal. Especially after a couple of hours of air, this is showing plenty of red fruit and some spice, graceful and balanced, with a rather long finish. I wouldn't pay the current retail price of Clos des Papes, but I still have many bottles of the 2000 since release, and I am glad to be enjoying them over the next few years.
