Sunday, September 21, 2014 - Cork was slightly elevated (about 1-2mm). Seeping all the way up the cork, but nothing ran out.
Medium red color and compared to the Alpine, it looks rather dull/flat.
No noticeable heat on the nose, in fact overall the wine was surprisingly approachable for a 2012.. Red fruit, cinnamon, and some baking spices. Nice acidity although seems a bit flat.

Drank well nonetheless, but not sure about aging potential (again not sure if the bottle was clean).
