Sunday, July 24, 2005 - We had this tonight with grilled veal chops (with a light balsamic reduction and sage)... nice plum and cherry on the nose carries through on the first sip. i was surprised at the sweetness and relative lack of acidity right after we opened the bottle but after about an hour the wine in the glass evolved very nicely... a touch of heat (15.25% alc.) but nice earthy, pepper, plum and cherry notes and a nice finish. Not the structure i would have expected but very good nonetheless.
