Tuesday, December 25, 2007 - Nose was very heavy on fruit - cherry, blackberry. Strong smell of alcohol. Allowed to open up in glasses for about 30 minutes before drinking. Alcohol nose subsided. Nice balance with the tannins. Not overly dry. Much more impressed after 30 minutes out of the bottle than I was with the initial taste. Served with Beef Tenderloin for Christmas Eve Dinner - good choice with the beef. All enjoyed
