Incredibly ripe, overripe, framboise, blackberry liqueur, chocolate, kir. The palate is about as high octane as it gets, overripe, port-like, sweet black fruits,vanilla, raisin, blackberry liqueur, glycerin, chocolate sauce. Hedonistic, rich and primary, the definition of a fruit bomb. I'd have not pegged this for cab, maybe a ripe Aussie shiraz, Amarone, or a young Port. Just not my style and very hard for me to wrap my head around. No doubt this appeals to a great number of people and they will score it very highly. I'll keep my score to myself. I found it interesting to read RP's tasting note which was spot on and clearly warns of the style - we just disagree on what that translates to. A polarizing wine. Caveat emptor. Very glad to have had the opportunity to try this - I will say it is approachable now in the style that it is. Curious to see what this would be like at 15 years or so, but I won't hold my breath.

5/28/2016 6:26:00 AM - Definitely a polarizing wine! Our group was split, half voted it WOTN, the other half didn't, with most not even scoring it in top 3. Buyers beware, if you like fruit forward, oaky chocolatey cabs, this wine will be the best you probably ever had; if that is not your style, you may not like it, and it definitely will not be worth the money. Nice notes Kevin :)
