Monday, August 15, 2016 - Subsequent notes on this wine from over two years ago. Medium-light golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive & aromatic nose of developed & complex ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears, citrus notes of lemons/limes & stone fruits with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & minerals, flinty, wet stones, almonds, some butterscotch, spices, some toasty oak & a hint of vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, developed & complex, crisp, ripe flavors of apples, grapefruit & citrus of lemons/limes with some butterscotch, spices, stony, minerals, toasty oak & a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & may be at its peak of development, so drink up. It has aged quite well.
