  • Last of 3 and it aged beautifully, a testament to the longevity of WH Chards. In general found that the 2007's aged much better then the 2006's .

  • Subsequent notes on this wine from over two years ago. Medium-light golden yellow in color. Forward, attractive & aromatic nose of developed & complex ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears, citrus notes of lemons/limes & stone fruits with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & minerals, flinty, wet stones, almonds, some butterscotch, spices, some toasty oak & a hint of vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, developed & complex, crisp, ripe flavors of apples, grapefruit & citrus of lemons/limes with some butterscotch, spices, stony, minerals, toasty oak & a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & may be at its peak of development, so drink up. It has aged quite well.

  • full mouthfeeling, expressive nose. this wine is about power in a balanced way. nose is full of brown butter, almond, tropical fruits ( pineapple), brioche, honeyed citrus and spices. the taste is viscous, oaky, pretty aligned with the nose and a spicy finish. overall very good, maybe a bit too much (oak and spices)for my personal taste. the quakity is there, rather a question of style.

  • Some funk on the nose; honey, vanilla, hazelnut; truly outstanding chard.

  • yup on the nut and vanilla; sweet white peach; smooth mouth feel; more vanilla than i prefer, but well integrated, and the fruit and texture stand up to the oak.
