Monday, November 28, 2016 - Dark garnet in color with slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of complex, ripe fruit aromas of cherries, currants & blackberries with overtones of floral notes of violets & dusty/earthy notes, spices, mocha, leather, minerals, tobacco, dried herbs & hints of cedar. Full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, complex, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & cranberries with earthy, herbs, cocoa, spices, vanilla & toasty oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but holding up quite well & should continue its development with further aging.
