Saturday, December 31, 2016 - Drank alongside a 2002, which I previously had thought was really coming into its own. The 2008 certainly offers more intensity and elegance, on a finer, more complex palate... there's more nuance here than the '02. That said, the 2002 had a plushness and nuttiness to it that was also quite lovely and quite contrary to the 2008. Really nice to see these two vintages side by side, as you can tell its made of the same stuff, but the expression is entirely different. Look forward to noting another one in more detail soon.
