Sunday, February 5, 2017 - As is usually the case with me, I PnP for me initially just to see where this wine is at and it comes highly recommended. I tried ‘The Label’ which I did not like, so why not give the regular Napa Valley Cab a shot. I have noticed, the 2014 vintage has taken a considerable leap in price, so this vintage could be a value. It’s a dark purple wine and that’s appealing with a compelling nose. On the palate, tart berries, plum, tobacco, leather and some minerality. I find this Cab to be firm, acidic and tannic. This vintage is still young but I believe it will age nicely. Not bad for the money $45. I think this is a better Cab to enjoy with food . I also believe this could be a wine that I wish I would have brought more in a couple of years from now. It’s a good wine, but there are better values out there that suit my palate
