Given that your note on this is from 2018, when this was probably trading for far less than it is today, I’m going to guess that the $132 US I’m currently seeing this sell for in my area would definitely fall into your definition of over priced for this wine. Am I right?

Interestingly they are going for $115 at both K&L and WineBid (I use wine-searcher.com to find prices), which is better, but still might be over-priced. I tend not to buy wines over $100 any more since my wife gives me hard time. One of the stand-outs from '05 for me has been d'Issan (even the '06 is getting close in quality to the '05 now too), though it's quite pricey.

For my part, find that I’m rarely happy with wines that cost more than $100—and this is my own fault. I put too much on them. I expect too much from them. I expect things they can’t possibly deliver. I know this going in, but I just can’t help myself. In the final analysis, the incremental increase in quality one generally gets from wines over $100 usually doesn’t offset, in my mind, what seems almost like a geometric increase in the cost it takes to get there. I find that I obtain greater pleasure from unearthing less costly gems.
