Saturday, March 2, 2019 - Sat, 03/02/19, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): Typically, 90% Tempranillo & 10% C.S. "from 64 hectares of owns vyds located in the state of Finca Villacreces. Aged 12 mos in 3-year-old French barrels (Darnajou & Taransaud)." 5,000 cases imported.

N: RIPE berries with notes of toast

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with nice, ALMOST swtish frt met by just a smidgin of puckerish astringency which evolves into a LONG, very, VERY slightly bitterish finish with a tangy/swtness to the MIN dusty tannins. For now & the next 3-4 yrs, + could improve over the next 6-9 mos. 92 pts Suckling, and 90 ea WA, WS, & Guía Peñín. [This vendor's $14.95 is $3 < anyone else currently listed on wine-searcher!]

Note: I found this FAR more approachable than I had on 2/16/2019.
