Thursday, March 28, 2019 - This is my first of these (/3) and it's smooth, round, enjoyable, and ready to go right off the pop. Dense, opaque coloring with purplish ruby at the very edges. Aromas of dark fruit, menthol, and graphite minerality. Medium to medium(+) body, acid and finish, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits, lemon, and minerals. Not much in the way of tannins here, but the acidity keeps it in balance. I don't think anyone's confusing this for an old world wine, but it's not blowsy or anything and I think it would please most palates well enough. I'd say burgers for the pairing.
