Aromas of dark fruit, menthol, and graphite minerality. Medium to medium(+) body, acid and finish, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits, lemon, and minerals. Not much in the way of tannins here, but the acidity keeps it in balance. I don't think anyone's confusing this for an old world wine, but it's not blowsy or anything and I think it would please most palates well enough. I'd say burgers for the pairing.
