Sunday, September 29, 2019 - This is a wonderfully aged, layered Chardonnay which is great to drink today. It had not the sheer depth of the Aubert Lauren Chardonnay 2006 we had next to it but was still quite amazing, especially for such an old Chardonnay. The acidic backbone keeps this young and fresh. No rush to drink.

TN: At first a bit stinky cellar smells which quickly and mostly blew off with some swirling. Underneath is a nicely aged Chardonnay with low alcohol displaying passion fruit, pineapple, baking spices and some wet stone minerality. Very pleasant and round with a bright acidity. Medium complexity and length only but with a fairly good precision.

Decanting: A 30 minutes to 1 hour decant will likely do the job.
