Much better than I would have guessed, given the base, but I guess in the worse years, they put in more reserve wine, so it actually bulks up the quality. Nonetheless, this is probably the easiest drinking GC since the 163eme, and I'll confess to liking this a little more. It's got the classic richness, but stylistically it's a little more open-knit and approachable, with a hint of juicy sweetness. Just goes to show the average quality of the GC year in, year out.
