NOSE > Pink-grapefruit, lanolin, grape-blossom, lime-flesh/oil, red-cherry, ginger, & tart-apricot.
Very fresh & lively.
PALATE > Lime-flesh, pink-grapefruit, quinine, lime/green-citrus zest/pith, red & Morello- cherry.
Beautifully ripe, medium+ acidity - seemingly high tartaric %.
Hint of gingery, wild, exotic, citrus-fruit/zest/wild-cherry, fruit-imbued bitterness.
Full-ish, tight, & full of freshness & life. Prototypical Classic Mosel.
Merkelbach really raised their game in shy-bearing '10 & '12.
