Friday, July 31, 2020 - Lovely nose of red fruits, lots of raspberry, cherry and cranberry. As this opens up the palate becomes more complex with spice and licorice. The fruit is on the tart side and this wine is better with food than alone. Needed a long decant on day one as the tannins are still quite strong, smoothed out on day two and was drinking better although the trade off is some of that zippy freshness to the fruit.

8/2/2020 8:26:00 PM - Have not had this but the Evangelho is one of my fav old vine zin vineyards. Has been for years. I didn't know anyone other than Matt Cline was making wine off of it. Limited tonnage off that plot for sure.
