Sunday, February 21, 2021 - Brownish-red garnet color. Mushy raspberries and a bit of spice on the nose. I find this wine hard to parse by sensory element as the blending of flavors is so thorough. It has passed its apex and is overall a bit muddled. However, it avoids dullness by virtue of its still-sharp acids and medley of tart and overripe red fruit, mostly raspberry with just a passing hint of watermelon somewhere in the palate progression. This was consistent at opening, after a few hours, and the next day after being left overnight on the countertop. I’m shocked at the comparison with my 93-point review last October.
