Sunday, March 7, 2021 - Beautiful burnished orange gold. Pinpoint bubbles which don’t last very long. That gorgeous Krug toast, deep but never vulgar. Orange peel, caramel, delicate wisp of smoke and nice acidity. Held very well in the glass. I find this better preserved than my bottles of “regular” ‘88 Krug even though I purchased them on release. This is a beautiful expression of the Krug signature but if you value freshness and vigor more than aged complexity, you will not really enjoy it.
