Saturday, July 31, 2021 - Good vintage for Evangelho, quite a lot in there. Starts with dense fruit leather, a nice nose of bright blood orange and red plums, with a lovely savory, cacao powder undertone. Opened into some tarter fruit and fine grain tannin, feeling much more of the mataro element I think, which means this vintage may need more age than usual. Always a fan.
