95 Points

Thursday, November 18, 2021 - Splash decant at Houston wine tasting. Very deep dark electric purple magenta color. Dark fruit preserves on the very tight nose. Dry, velvety, full bodied palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish. My score is somewhat speculative because this wine is so young and was exposed to very little air before tasting.

Damn, that was a heavy hitter lineup for sure…

11/19/2021 10:21:00 AM - AG, I haven't gotten around posting my notes from the private event we hosted at our home but I will soon. I think a little bit of A&B, MM, Rewa and Covert sold and there wasn't a clear favorite amongst friends.

95's for both the Blend & Vine Hill Ranch are fair scores based on a splash decant about an hour before the show. I had the privilege to taste through leftover half bottles stored in the cellar after 24 hours.

I think the blend had a little more complexity and structure on day two and was a bit wound up when first shown.

19 is so different and approachable than most 18's I've tried to date.
