Sunday, March 6, 2011 - This is juvenile, but still very enjoyable. It's very spicy, with nutmeg, ginger and garrigue, but the overwhelming feeling is blueberries, cassis crushed stone and licorice, pretty sweet licorice. Alcohol is said to be 15%, but it's nicely integrated. Mouthwise it's very silky with sweet and very smooth tannins, lovely minerality, acidity manages to balance alcohol - excellent. On the second day it's a little less sweet and has lost a bit of it's primary fruit. I think this will get better, and integrate the sweetness with a couple of years in the cellar. I won't save this for long, though.
