Monday, October 19, 2020 - Opaque purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off dense, layered aromas of smoke and red roses on black fruits and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, dense and fleshy in texture with ample medium plus acidity to balance the ripe blueberry, blackberry and cassis flavors. There are secondary flavors of tobacco, fig, espresso and dark chocolate to complement the long, lifted, mineral-filled, savory finish with sweet tannins. Drink now (just because the tannins are just lovely to chew on) until 2045.
