Saturday, December 11, 2021 - In my cellar since release. Previous bottles as recently as 6 months ago were fabulous, but this time I opened 2 very oxidized bottles before the 3rd was drinkable. I love older Mount Eden Chards but this is the worst string of over 10 year old bottles I have had (previous bottles from this case ranged from 93-96 for me). The good one was bright medium golden yellow and with great texture and weight showing lemon curd, marzipan, some slight nuttiness, vanilla and some pear notes with a very mineral finish. Bright with acidity. Long finish. Lacking the depth and complexity compared to the best examples of this I have had.
