Sunday, June 17, 2018 - Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, dark fruit - blackberry, black raspberry, and blueberry, black olives, red licorice, bacon fat, and dark flowers. Palate: Medium-full bodied, black and dark red fruit attack - blackberry and pomegranate, Asian spice, subtle licorice notes and dark earth join a solid acidic back-bone through the mid-palate, back-end is dominated by dark fruit, spice and earthiness which lingers through a 30-45 second finish. This is still quite youthful at the moment, plenty of stuffing but just a little harsh on the edges yet - drinking very well now but I see this getting even better over the next 2 - 4 years.
