Thursday, April 24, 2014 - A lovely wine, this V.O. disgorged in September 2009 shows wonderful tones of maturity with the classy tones of sun warm mature red apples, subtle tones of acacia honey, lime zest, abundant minerals and light toast. The nose is quite astonishing and to me represents this grower to marvelous extent. The palate follow through nicely with a rich creamy mousse, super balance and a perfect integration. But do not be mistaken, there is enough structure to please even the wine police. Selosse certainly does not produce wines for the faint hearted and the wines are perhaps not crowd pleasers - But for a Champagne lover they are a true gem!
