Sunday, February 16, 2014 - Decanted for an hour before tasting. Opaque purple core, ruby rim. Black cherries, cherry liqueur, leather, mocha, espresso and spicy oak on the nose and palate. Big, generous and fairly tannic – clearly on the young side. Softens up and improves during the course of the evening. Good now, but should be even better after another two to three years in the cellar – decant or hold (90-93 points).
