Wednesday, November 22, 2017 - Only had time for an hour decant and it needed more time. I only had one bottle of this and so my score might be too low. Initial taste was that it was very well balanced with a hint of green stem bitterness that faded over time. There was an edginess to the wine that I liked and it was more dry and less sweet than some California Syrahs. I might see if I can find another bottle of this and give it 3 hours decant time and see how the score compares. Overall very good for my first foray into Carneros Las Madres Syrah.
