95 Points

Thursday, February 21, 2013 - Tobacco, truffle, fresh picked blackberries, flowers and cedar chest aromas created the aromatics. On the palate, the wine is filled with soft, sensuous, ripe, sweet berries. The wine is long, fresh, vibrant and youthful. Due to its opulent style, if you like your wines young, pop a cork. If you prefer more earthy, secondary notes with most or all of the tannins resolved, wait another decade. This bottle was not decanted. I imagine it would have shown better with some air before serving.
