90 Points

Saturday, February 27, 2021 - Red Saint-Émilion. Merlot 70 % and Cabernet franc 30 %. Matured in new barrels for 18 to 20 months. 13,5 % alcohol.

Deep dark red color.

Nice aromas of black fruit, black currant, walnuts and vanilla. Flavors of ripe black fruit, blueberries, vanilla, walnuts, cedar and butter.

Dry. Medium body. Medium acidity. Chewy tannins. Very good balance. Good structure. Elegant. Some complexity.

Medium finish with black fruit and vanilla.

A nice Saint-Émilion. No single weakness that stands out. For a higher grade it would need more of “everything”. Drinks pretty well right now but is still a bit primary. 90/100
