Friday, November 11, 2016 - At the top of its game. Nose has intense sweet tar with floral notes. The palate is tangy, earthy, tarry, mushroomy, with good backbone of acidity balancing the dark fruit. Great vintage of Ferrando Carema. Moderate tannins finish it off. I'm pushing the drink date back to 2017, since this is showing no sign of getting old.
