Thursday, May 24, 2018 - 1977 and 1963 Vintage Ports... (Regional Wines and Spirits, Wellington, New Zealand): Textbook hue - light tawny, and full of life. Absolutely integrated, with a wonderful herbal quality. Linear, spicy camphor nose. Sweet, tannic, really long. A superb balance of fruit and spirit. Had a slight edge on the 99 Fonseca (for my taste), being slightly riper and richer. Picked correctly as a 1963.
