Friday, November 24, 2006 - Yquem Tasting (Robersons Wine, London): Light gold with some amber, very strong expressive nose of botrytis, honied almonds and apricot tart, tightly pinched acidity that runs the full length of the long finish. Well balanced but the acidity is a little too keen for the fruit, enormous density showing just a little mature notes, which moved to herbal / tea after an hour or so.
