Saturday, December 22, 2018 - Just a stunning vintage of Yquem and set to take over from the ‘67 as the best “younger” vintage of Yquem to drink now. Incredible spice-driven intensity and mouth-watering acidity and cut. Lazor-like and very mineral-driven with fabulous complexity on the finish with notes of hazelnuts and brown spices. Still structured and firm and while its a real treat to drink now, its going to get a lot better over the next 20 years. 96+
