Sunday, August 29, 2021 - Dinner at Dibbs's: Fruit supposedly sourced from one of the seminal makers in the village. A confusing one, there was some cedar and tar that brought me to Bordeaux at first, but the earthiness and acidity brought me to somewhere in Italy - but definitely did not think Burgundy. Muscular brute of a wine with some savoury notes that eventually become more Burg-like with air. Heavy on the extraction with firm tannins but the 200% oak is definitely a myth based on this showing.
