Friday, January 5, 2024 - This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is lifted, elegant and complex showing peonies, cranberry, pomegranite, cinnamon, cardamom, petrichor, and animal fur. The palate enters on the tart and sweet cranberry and pomegranate, then turns to medium acid and medium tannin and is a tad bitter and lightly green. This gives the palate a somewhat austere impression today. All in all this is offering some nice early drinking. Enjoyable today but I’d also love to see this with another 5-10 years of age. I could see further age benefitting here.
