  • This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is lifted, elegant and complex showing peonies, cranberry, pomegranite, cinnamon, cardamom, petrichor, and animal fur. The palate enters on the tart and sweet cranberry and pomegranate, then turns to medium acid and medium tannin and is a tad bitter and lightly green. This gives the palate a somewhat austere impression today. All in all this is offering some nice early drinking. Enjoyable today but I’d also love to see this with another 5-10 years of age. I could see further age benefitting here.

  • Red fruit (pomegranate), pretty spicy (cinnamon), also earthy notes and salinity in the aftertaste. Pure and light on it’s feet. Drinking well.

  • Lovely cinnamon and spice similar to the chevillon les St. George’s we had from the same year but slightly less complexity. Not really a negative though as this was just singing. Two great wines and shows you can still get great Burgundy for less than $200.

  • Servert blindt. Men digger stilen.

  • Medium tannin, lovely red fruit, lots of forest floor and wood notes. Incredibly smooth with long finish and medium complexity. Really good Gouge which I think will still improve over the next 3-5 years but certainly also good to go now.
